KAA Board Appoints Moses Wekesa as New Managing Director/CEO

The Board of Directors of Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has appointed Moses Wekesa as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, following a rigorous and competitive recruitment process.

Mr. Wekesa brings extensive experience in aviation infrastructure and airport operations management, and will lead KAA's transformation agenda, including the ongoing modernization of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

His priorities include accelerating the JKIA Integrated Master Plan, improving passenger experience across all KAA-managed airports, and strengthening the Authority's commercial and cargo revenue streams.

"I am honoured to lead this institution at such a pivotal moment for Kenyan aviation," said Mr. Wekesa. "Our focus will be on operational excellence, safety, and positioning JKIA as the leading aviation hub in the region."
