KAA Successfully Concludes Full-Scale Emergency Drill at JKIA
Kenya Airports Authority has successfully concluded a full-scale emergency drill at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), simulating a major aircraft incident on the airfield.
The exercise tested the coordinated response of KAA's Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting Service, the Kenya Police, Kenya Red Cross, St John Ambulance, and airline emergency teams under realistic, timed conditions.
Drills of this scale are mandated under International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards and are conducted regularly to keep JKIA's emergency response capability certified and battle-ready.
KAA leadership commended all participating agencies for their professionalism and reaffirmed the airport's commitment to maintaining world-class safety readiness for the millions of passengers who pass through JKIA each year.
